Without access to menstrual care, girls in developing countries are often forced to stay home from school during their periods, leading them to miss 10-20% of school days every month. UNICEF has estimated that roughly 1 in 10 girls in Africa miss school because of their periods each month.
Often, the cost of sanitary products for girls is simply too high, forcing them to skip school to tend to their bleeding. In some countries, like Malawi, sanitary pads cost the equivalent of an entire day’s salary. In Kenya, two-thirds of women can’t afford sanitary pads.
Apart from cost, stigma also plays a major role in preventing girls from continuing their education past puberty. In India, it's estimated that 1 in 5 girls drop out of school after they get their periods.

We've teamed up with a family run manufacturers in India who produce our reusable cloth pads. By the end of 2019, we will have donated over 10,000 reusable cloth pads to girls across the globe.
We distribute our reusable cloth pads directly to women's shelters, girls' schools, and orphanages in developing countries and also work with partners like Freedom4Girls who help in making sure the reusable cloth pads reach those who really need them across the globe.
